After 10+ years Leeds Play Readers held it's final session tonight. It's not clear what will happen when I hit the unsubscribe button before the group goes to cyber dust......
A massive thankyou to everyone who has led Leeds Play Readers before and during my time, for Najm for co-leading from the horrors of lockdown and to everyone that has attended an event either in person (pre-lockdown) or online (post-lockdown).
I do not go back long enough to know who founded the group or who decided on the slightly head-scrambling format but know that for me it has been really good fun.
I feel privileged to have met such a wide-range of people and have thoroughly enjoyed sharing the experience of finding, reading, discovering and exploring new plays.
Kudos to anyone who wanted to have a new experience, meet new people, learn, grow, enjoy and to those who put themselves out there to do something completely different or who pushed themselves through any kind of barrier to attend.
