LGBTQ+ Sunday Lunch Club
Spring Grove, 13 Bloomfield Road, Kingston Upon Thames, GBJoin us for our LGBTQ+ Sunday Lunch Club!
No agenda, just enjoying great company and food together. Look out for Chris on the day!
We’ll be meeting regularly over a traditional Sunday lunch in a local pub in Surbiton/Kingston area. This month we’re going to The Spring Grove, 13 Bloomfield Rd, Kingston upon Thames KT1 2SF.
Our table is booked from 13:00, please arrive by 12:45 so we can order and eat together. A pre-order will be required at this venue so please do email to confirm your attendance

LGBTQ+ Board Game Social
The Albion, 45 Fairfield Road KT1 2P,, Kingston upon Thames, GBCome and join us at The Albion in Kingston for an evening of games! All LGBTQ+ people are welcome, and we're open to all levels of gaming experience - whether you're a full-fledged geek or completely new to the world of board games.
Meet fellow LGBTQ+ gamers, enjoy some snacks, and dive into a variety of board games. The the Forum will bring along a few games, but you're also welcome to bring anything you're keen to play too - please ensure that you're able to explain the rules to others.
When you arrive, look out for Sharon & Chris who will be hosting the evening and will be happy to introduce new people to the rest of the group.
Come alone or bring some friends along - we're a friendly bunch!

Our next read will be ‘The World Unseen’ by Shamim Sarif
Synopsis:
Winner of the Pendleton May First Novel Award and a Betty Trask Award, The World Unseen is a captivating human drama and love story.
In 1950's South Africa, apartheid is just beginning. Free-spirited Amina has broken all the rules of her own conventional Indian community, and the new apartheid-led government, by running a café with Jacob her "coloured" business partner. When she meets Miriam, a young traditional wife and mother, their unexpected attraction pushes Miriam to question the rules that bind her. When Amina helps Miriam's sister-in-law to hide from the police, a chain of events is set in motion that changes both women forever.

At the end of the meeting we will set the next book, based on ideas and feedback from the group, giving everyone two months to read the book. All the books will be LGBTQ+ themed, by LGBTQ+ writers, or with themes likely to be of interest to LGBTQ+ people and communities.
Please read the book ahead of the meeting and come with a view to share your opinions and views.
