🎲Welcome to the Kennett Board Game Group 🎲
We’re a friendly group that gets together to enjoy modern board games in a relaxed, social atmosphere. Our focus is on having fun, meeting people and enjoying great games — whether it’s your first time playing or your hundredth.
You do not need prior experience to attend.
📍 What to Expect at Events
We typically have more than one game playing at once so there should be some variety of choices including party games, light strategy and more involved games. While we often have a beginner-friendly option available, we are also a group that enjoys thoughtful strategy games.
If you’re new, someone will help you find a table that’s a good fit. You won’t be left on your own or expected to already know how to play.
🎲 Games We Might Play
A few examples of party games we might play:
- Codenames, So Clover, Sushi Go Party, Decrypto, Camel Up, Monikers or Coup
A few examples of light strategy we might play:
- Spendor, Art Society, Ticket to Ride, Welcome To or Carcassonne
A few examples of deeper games we might play:
- Wingspan, Terraforming Mars, Robo Rally or Power Grid
👋 Coming for the First Time
Many people attend their first event without knowing anyone. That’s completely normal.
We make a point of welcoming new members and helping you ease in at your comfort level. And you’re always welcome to bring a friend if you like.

Please use an identifiable profile photo and set your username to your preferred name. It helps everyone recognize each other and makes meeting up more comfortable and welcoming.
🧾 Supporting the Group (Optional)
This group is free to attend.
That said, there are ongoing costs by Meetup so if you would like to help support the group, voluntary contributions are appreciated. There is never any pressure, and everyone is welcome regardless.
