About us
This is a group for introverts in the area to get together, have fun, and make new friends. We host regularly scheduled monthly events like karaoke, escape rooms, Feed My Starving Children, dinners, and other activities throughout the year as we discover new things to do together.
- The group focuses on building belonging, friendship, and community, reflecting the social connection part of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and supporting several of the dimensions of wellness, especially social and emotional well-being.
A few rules to follow:
- This is not a dating group. We’re here for friends and fun. This is not Tinder. Please conduct yourself in a mature manner. Harassment or inappropriate behavior by members will result in removal from the group.
- We want everyone to feel welcome. Racist or sexist remarks, hate speech, and/or purposely making others uncomfortable will not be tolerated.
- Please be mindful of sensitive topics such as gender identity, sexuality, politics, religion, and similar subjects. Unless an event or space is specifically designed for those discussions, we encourage keeping conversations light and respectful for everyone.
- Please only RSVP for meetups you plan to attend. Failing to do so may result in consequences at the event host’s discretion. If you are arriving late, please alert the host as soon as possible.
- If you RSVP for a meetup and are no longer able to attend, please update your RSVP at least 24 hours before the scheduled event so the organizer can adjust plans and notify waitlisted attendees when space becomes available.
Rules last updated March 4, 2026.
Starting in 2026, Introverts Hangout will continue offering free community events with no membership dues required. A small number of selected events may include a clearly listed, non-refundable cover charge to help with supplies, space reservations, and group tips when needed.
- All events remain going-Dutch unless stated otherwise, meaning attendees cover their own food, admission, and personal costs.
- Any event with a cover charge will always include a transparent breakdown in the event description. Cover charges are not intended to generate personal profit. Funds are used solely to support that specific event, community experiences, and the group’s annual hosting fee on the platform.
Our goal is to keep experiences accessible, welcoming, and supportive of social wellness and confidence for everyone.
