AI Patient Zero: AI Agents in Pharma
What happens when the attacker never touches a user account, an endpoint, or a firewall and data still walks out the door? This session unfolds as a live AI security incident inside a fictional pharmaceutical enterprise: an AI agent with access to R&D, clinical, and regulatory data is quietly manipulated through a single poisoned document.

• About Speaker

John Joseph is a cybersecurity leader with extensive experience across enterprise security, application security, cloud security, identity and privileged access, security operations, AI security and cyber risk management within the highly regulated healthcare and pharmaceutical sector.
He leads cybersecurity strategy and security transformation across complex enterprise environments, working closely with technology and business leadership to translate emerging cyber risks into practical security controls and enterprise resilience. His areas of focus include AI and agentic AI security, secure architecture, application security, cloud security, identity and access management, detection and response, SOC and cybersecurity governance. He brings a practitioner and CISO-level perspective to the evolving challenge of securing AI adoption in regulated industries.

With 13+ years of experience in enterprise cybersecurity, she has led initiatives across application security, cloud security, DevSecOps, security architecture, security operations, cyber resilience, governance, risk, and compliance. Her leadership focus is on building secure digital ecosystems, strengthening organizational cyber resilience, and aligning cybersecurity with business and emerging technology strategies. Her research focuses on Secure AI, AI governance, cyber defense, and national security. She is also a cybersecurity and AI speaker, contributing to industry knowledge, research, and thought leadership.

Manoj is a seasoned Cybersecurity Practitioner and Associate Director (Cyber Security) specializing in Technology Risk. He is a Certified CISM and ISO Lead Auditor, with extensive experience in designing and reviewing hybrid/multi‑cloud architectures and optimizing Cloud-Native Application Protection Platforms (CNAPPs).
His expertise spans the full spectrum of risk management — from identification to remediation — and includes threat modeling, control design based on frameworks such as NIST, ISO, CSA‑CCM, and sector‑specific standards. Manoj is deeply engaged in DevSecOps engineering, IT compliance and privacy, and identity and access management.
