This is a hands-on workshop where you'll learn to run AI models on your own computer. We'll focus on practical tools you can install and use today, with live demos, guided installations, and time to experiment with your own projects.
The Wiki3 AI Owners Group is for people who want to own their AI tools. We started with Jan.ai and Hermes Agent.
This session covers local-first AI basics and gets you up and running with Unsloth Desktop, a local provider of LLM and media generation with built-in chat with tools from the leading open weight model optimization gurus, plus an introduction to installing and using Agent Zero, the best local-first agent harness with containerization and Open Source.

We continue to work on developing hands-on exercises and educational
materials that include:- Tutorial-level examples working on FPGA boards from multiple
vendors - Xilinx, Altera, Gowin, Lattice, Efinix. - More involving examples with sound recognition and graphics generation.
- Interview-level microarchitectural examples with pipelines, FIFOs
and flow control. - CPU-oriented exercises, from a trivial single-cycle CPU to
pipelined, out-of-order and multicore designs with caches and branch
predictors. - Experiments with open-source ASIC design tools and the affordable
manufacturing options (Tiny Tapeout).

We talk about the dev environments, often Python, sometimes Swift, Javascript, Typescript, Rust, etc. We talk about the AI tools and harnesses we use, such as Claude Code, ChatGPT Codex, or more complex setups like Hermes, OpenClaw, Dots, GrokBots, et al.
This interactive and inclusive event welcomes individuals from diverse backgrounds to learn from one another. All questions and topics are welcome and we often digress into interesting off-topic discussions.
