W3 SOWN: Designing for Execution in a High-Velocity World
·OnlineOnlineFrom Intention to Traction: Designing for Execution in a High-Velocity World
Over the last two weeks, we’ve talked about clarity and alignment, resetting strategy and choosing where leaders place their energy in 2026. But this week is where many organizations quietly struggle.
Because clarity is not enough. Alignment is not enough. What separates progress from frustration right now is execution, by design.
In Week 3 of Spotlight on What’s Next 2026, we tackle why:
(1) Work stalls even when priorities are clear
(2) Decisions slow down in high-pressure environments
(3) Teams stay busy but momentum disappears
(4) And why this isn’t a motivation or talent problem, it’s a design problem. In this episode, we explore:
✔ Why most organizations are still designed for stability, not velocity
✔ How AI, economic pressure, and real-time risk are compressing decision cycles
✔ What high-performing leaders are doing differently to convert intent into traction
✔ A simple leadership lens to identify where execution is breaking down
✔ How to redesign decision rights, reduce friction, and build feedback loops that move work forward💡 Key takeaway: Execution is no longer an operational concern. It’s a leadership signal.

🔍 Reflection question for leaders: Where are you clear and aligned, but still not seeing movement? What single design choice would unlock traction right now?
If this resonates, I encourage you to:
• Share it with a colleague or leadership team
• Reflect on it together
• Start redesigning execution, not forcing itNext week, we move into resilience, because certainty isn’t coming back, and calm is no longer a prerequisite for performance.

W4 SOWN: From AI Curiosity to Value Creation
·OnlineOnline🚀 From AI Curiosity to Value Creation: The Week Leaders Separate Signal from Noise
As we move deeper into 2026, one global strategy signal is unmistakable:
The leaders winning with AI aren’t adopting more tools—they’re governing decisions better. In SOWN Week 4, we break down why AI is no longer a novelty, it’s an amplifier. What it amplifies in your organization depends entirely on leadership discipline, decision rights, and execution clarity. This week’s focus is about shifting from experimentation to measurable value creation, anchoring AI to outcomes, embedding it into how work is already done, and strengthening governance before scaling technology.

💬 Questions for leaders this week:
(1) Where are we experimenting with AI without clear accountability?
(2) Which decisions would immediately improve with better, AI-informed insight?
(3) Is AI amplifying clarity—or quietly increasing complexity?👉 Call to action:
Pick one decision, one workflow, or one outcome this week and deliberately govern AI around it. Excellence in 2026 won’t come from chasing what’s new, it will come from governing what matters.LinkedIn Post:

W5 SOWN: From Execution to Endurance
·OnlineOnlineWeek 5: From Execution to Endurance — Why Decisions, Not Tools, Now Determine Advantage
This week’s session landed on a question that doesn’t get enough attention:
What happens after the decision is made?
In 2026, the difference between leaders who advance and those who stall is no longer clarity, alignment, or even execution.
It’s decision endurance. Most initiatives don’t fail because the decision was wrong. They fail because the organization couldn’t hold the decision long enough for value to compound.
Under pressure, we reopen choices without new information. We revisit trade-offs already made. We soften commitments instead of strengthening governance.
That erosion is subtle, but it’s costly. The leaders gaining real advantage right now are designing for endurance:
• Clear decision rights
• Named risk ownership
• Explicit conditions for revisiting decisions
• Governance that holds when anxiety risesExecution creates motion. Endurance creates advantage.

W6 SOWN: From Endurance to Leverage, Reclaiming Capacity in the Age of AI
·OnlineOnlineW6 SOWN: From Endurance to Leverage, Reclaiming Capacity in the Age of AI
Over the past several weeks in Spotlight on What’s Next 2026, we’ve focused on momentum, managed advantage, execution by design, governed innovation, and decision endurance.
This week we arrive at something different: Capacity.
AI is automating mid-level knowledge work.
Organizations are flattening.
Budgets are tightening.
Expectations are rising. But here’s the real leadership test: AI doesn’t just accelerate work. It creates whitespace.
And most organizations don’t know what to do with whitespace. So they fill it. With more meetings. More dashboards. More initiatives.
Instead of asking the harder, strategic question: What should we stop?
In 2026, advantage will not come from:
• More automation
• More tools
• More experimentationIt will come from: Focused reallocation of reclaimed human judgment.
Three leverage moves leaders must make now:
🔹 Sunset one low-value workflow
🔹 Reallocate AI-saved time intentionally
🔹 Protect strategic thinking timeEfficiency frees time. Leverage multiplies it. The organizations that win this year won’t be the busiest. They’ll be the sharpest.
Now a few questions for you:
• Where has AI already created capacity in your organization?
• Did that time turn into strategy — or just more activity?
• What meeting, report, or approval loop could you eliminate this month?
• When is the last time you protected uninterrupted thinking time? The organizations that win this year won’t be the busiest. They’ll be the sharpest.

If this resonates, choose one workflow to sunset this week and share what you’re reclaiming that time for. Let’s move from endurance to leverage.
