Sat, Dec 13 · 7:00 PM EST
Doors open at 7:00 for socializing, food, drinks, ping pong, etc. Around 9:30 we will clear the orange shag carpet dance floor and crank the music from my famous Decades of Dance playlist, an eclectic mix of dance music across genres and spanning from the 70s to now. Yes, we will likely hear Brick House at some point!
I'll supply water, some liquor, and some beer, but bring your favorite beverage to get what you want. (I'll be introducing you to a new shot so Sandra doesn't have to say "dirty girl scout" that night.) I'll also supply some snacks to keep our dancing energy up.
Instead of bringing food, I am asking attendees to help my church with its annual Mel Trotter Christmas dinner and party. The remaining needed items are
a few small family games (for families staying in the shelter) for 2-5 people including children.
Stocking stuffers for men. Some suggestions are playing cards, nice socks, small Sudoku puzzle books. Think of small items for guys with a lot of time on their hands.
I'll provide my address to attendees close to the event time. I'm inviting other friends, so there should be a diverse crowd.
