What we’re about

Some of the best stories are told from a bar stool. We want to hear yours!

Let’s start with the obvious question:

What is a Bar Story?

A Bar Story isn’t necessarily a story that takes place in a bar—it’s a story you’d tell in a bar. Unfiltered. Unpolished. The kind of story that spills out mid-conversation, maybe after a drink or two, maybe after a look, a laugh, or a sigh.

It’s the kind of story that starts with, “Okay, you’re not gonna believe this, but…” or, “You know what’s funny...” or, “Have I ever told you about the time…”

And then, before you know it, you’re knee-deep in a memory. Maybe you’ve told it a hundred times. Maybe this is the first time you’ve said it out loud.

And the best part? Somewhere in the middle of it, something you say jogs something loose in someone else. You say one thing, and suddenly they remember a detail they’d buried. A night. A mistake. A person. A part of themselves.

And just like that, two strangers are sharing time—not just killing it.

That’s the magic we’re chasing here.

Bar stories are casual, yes—but they’re also vulnerable. They can be funny, wild, uncomfortable, cringe-inducing, or deeply moving. They sneak up on you. They don’t try too hard, and that’s why they work.

We’re trying to recreate that moment—the one that usually happens at 1 a.m., when someone says something bold or weird or real, and the whole conversation pivots.

Except now, it’s on stage. In front of 75 strangers. And you’re invited in.

So yeah, it’s a little bold. And honestly? That’s kind of the point.
