Welcome to our Food, Music and Fun and Friends social group! (FMFF); also known as Feast and Beats.
This is a community for people who love to explore new flavors, enjoy live music and participate in exciting activities. Our events range from trying out new restaurants and food festivals to attending concerts and organizing game nights. We value diversity, inclusivity and having a good time. Join us and let’s create unforgettable memories together!
A few items to note:
No Shows: Organizing events takes a lot of effort and planning. Sometimes we even make paid reservations for attendees. As such, when someone doesn’t show up without updating their RSVP, it can negatively impact our ability to host successful events. To help us accurately determine attendance, please make sure to update your RSVP status regularly.
This is a common courtesy that we expect all members to follow. We monitor our events for No-Shows and will remove members who have more than three instances of not showing up without notice. Additionally, changing your RSVP to “Not-Going” on the same day as the event will also be monitored for repeat occurrences. After three strikes, the member will be removed from the group. Please adhere to these policies so that we can continue to grow our community and provide a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone.
No Tolerance for Bad Behavior: We expect all members to treat each other with respect and kindness. Any form of misbehavior will not be tolerated and will result in immediate removal from the group. If any member makes you feel uncomfortable or disrespected in any way, please let the host know so that appropriate action can be taken.

We are gathering on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the festival grounds in Statesville, NC. This specific timeframe captures the absolute highlights of the entire weekend—from dozens of vibrant hot air balloons lifting off into the sunset to the breathtaking evening glow and a high-tech drone show.
Whether you are a photography enthusiast, a fan of festival vibes, or just looking to enjoy a perfect autumn evening with a great group of people, this is the window you don't want to miss!***

🗓️ Our Saturday Evening Schedule
- 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM | Mass Ascension Launch Window
Watch in awe as dozens of hot air balloons fill the sky and fly right out of the festival grounds.
- 6:15 PM | Dare Devil Dog Show
A high-energy, entertaining intermission featuring incredibly talented, acrobatic pups.
- 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM | The Evening Balloon Glow
The main event! The balloons return to the field, anchoring down to inflate and light up like giant lanterns against the night sky.
- 7:45 PM | High-Tech Drone Show
A spectacular modern light show in the sky to cap off our evening before we head out.

🎫 Important Ticket & Parking Info (Action Required!)
You must purchase your own ticket and parking pass in advance. Tickets sell out, and parking passes are NOT sold separately at a later time!

🎒 What to Bring
- A lawn chair or blanket: Essential for relaxing on the grass during the launch windows and glow.
- A light jacket: It gets chilly quickly in Statesville once the sun goes down in mid-October.
- Cash/Card: For the food trucks and marketplace vendors.
Note: Hot air balloon activities are entirely weather-dependent. The Flight Director and pilots may adjust the schedule if safety or wind conditions change. See you in the skies!
