About us
The idea for this meetup was inspired by William Heinrich, the sociologist who walked every block of New York City's 5 boroughs.
Once a week, we'll explore a new neighborhood in Tucson. All walks will be approximately 2 hours, and should cover about 4 miles, which is about 8000 steps for most people. Walks will normally start and end somewhere within reasonable distance of restaurant or coffee shop so folks who want to come early or stay late will be able to do so.
The goal is to explore neighborhoods you might never normally set foot in. And yes, it may mean driving a little ways to get to where we are walking, so the idea is Exploration more than Exercise, although ideally it will accomplish both.

bike nite at bear canyon gardens
The Gardens at Bear Canyon, 8991 E. Tanque Verde Rd,, Tucson, AZ, USJuly 18th the garden at bear canyons are collaborating with Mother Road Brewing Company and Gear Shifters to bring you a brewery night, bike show and easy rider movie night. Come show off your bikes, taste some delicious beer from Mother Road brewing and enter in a helmet give away thanks to Gear Shifters.

Note: all the movie events have a note of a two item minimum, so expect to purchase beverage and or eats.

Spacefest Continues carries forward the legacy of the original Spacefest, founded by Kim Poor and continued by his family after his passing in 2017. The 2026 event will be held at the University of Arizona and the Starr Pass Resort in Tucson, Arizona, offering a smaller, intimate experience with fewer than 100 attendees to maintain a close-knit atmosphere
