Alegria Performing Arts Academy is our Downtown Dance Studio, right here on beautiful and historic Main Street!
Our studio offers dance, music, and performing arts instruction for all ages and levels of experience. We offer group classes and private lessons, and are the 209's leading wedding dance specialists! We have a wonderful, diverse offering of styles. We offer Ballroom, Country, Latin, Salsa, Bachata, Swing, Line Dance, Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Break Dance, Modern, Contemporary, Lyrical, Cheer, Tumbling, Baile Folklórico, Portuguese Dances, Assyrian Dances, Bhangra, Burlesque, Belly Dance, Heels, Musical Theatre, Voice & More.
We strive to bring joy and light to our students and our community through the love of dance, music, and the performing arts. Our students are talented because they work hard to hone their skills and have fun at the same time. Alegria means joy, and the JOY of performance shines through them.
We provide a safe space where we teach, encourage, include, and accept ALL. We allow dancers to be their authentic selves. They make our lives a little brighter each day with their beautiful souls. We celebrate small victories and big feats. When you walk through our doors, you become our family, and the studio becomes your second home.

Our Level 1/2 Hip Hop class is designed for dancers ages 8 and up who are ready to learn the core foundations of hip hop in a positive, encouraging environment. Dancers will build confidence while developing coordination, rhythm, and performance skills through age-appropriate instruction and exciting choreography.
During class, dancers will:
🎵 Learn the core foundations and basic steps of hip hop
🎶 Develop musicality, rhythm, timing, and counting using 4/4 music
🔥 Improve movement quality, style, coordination, and smooth transitions between steps
💜 Build confidence, performance skills, and classroom responsibility
✨ Learn choreography inspired by traditional hip hop foundations and studio dance styles, including jazz, in preparation for our Spring ShowcaseAt Alegria Performing Arts Academy, we believe every child deserves a joyful place to learn and grow. Our recreational program emphasizes creativity, friendship, encouragement, and a positive learning environment where every dancer can shine while developing their own unique style.
Perfect for: Dancers ages 8 and up who love energetic music, expressive movement, and want to build strong hip hop fundamentals while having fun.
What to Wear: Comfortable athletic clothing that allows for movement, clean athletic shoes designated for indoor studio use, and hair securely pulled back if needed.

Our Level 2/3 Ballet & Tap class is designed for dancers ages 8 and up who have a basic foundation in dance and are ready to continue developing their skills. This class focuses on improving ballet and tap technique while helping dancers grow as confident performers in a fun, encouraging, and structured environment.During class, dancers will:
🩰 Strengthen ballet and tap technique, terminology, and proper execution
🎵 Improve rhythm, musicality, timing, and coordination
🌸 Build flexibility, balance, strength, and body control
💜 Develop confidence, performance quality, and classroom responsibility
✨ Prepare choreography and performance skills for studio showcases and community events

What to Wear: Any color leotard, any color tights, or comfortable clothing that allows for movement. Ballet and tap shoes are required for class.
