Making friends as an adult shouldn’t be this hard, that’s why we started DFW Young & Social! This group is all about making it easier to meet new people, try new things, and build real connections. No membership fees, no pressure. Just fun, welcoming events where you can show up, be yourself, and connect with great people.

Painted Wood Book Box Workshop
DFW Young & Social, 2309 Springlake Rd, Suite 600, Farmers Branch, tx, USGive a plain wood book box some personality in this relaxed, creative painting workshop.
Led by Community Coordinator Maria, this session guides you through decorating your own wood book box with paint, color, and your own creative touch. There is a guided design to follow along with, but plenty of room to make it your own. A fun, low pressure way to spend a Saturday afternoon and walk away with something you actually made.

Dungeons & Dragons for First Timers (2nd Saturday)
DFW Young & Social, 2309 Springlake Rd, Suite 600, Farmers Branch, tx, USNever played Dungeons and Dragons before? This session is built for you.
The first two hours walk you through everything you need, character building, spell selection, core rules, and how gameplay flows. Then you jump straight into a guided one-shot adventure with an experienced Dungeon Master leading the way.
No experience needed, just show up curious and ready to play.

Magical Academia TTRPG One-Shot | The Restricted Archive

A Tundra Tapir, rare, temperamental, and not supposed to be anywhere near the Restricted Archives, has made itself very comfortable somewhere it absolutely should not be. Your group has been tasked with resolving the situation before anyone in administration has to officially acknowledge it is happening. No pressure. Just do not let it touch the books.A completed Session 0 is required before attending.
Session 0 is free and covers character creation and system basics.

Crafting Circle & Weekly Social Hangout
DFW Young & Social, 2309 Springlake Rd, Suite 600, Farmers Branch, tx, USBring whatever you are working on and spend a few hours creating alongside a welcoming group of makers.
Every Saturday afternoon the Creative Studio opens up for an informal crafting hangout where anything goes. Fiber arts, painting, sewing, clay, diorama making, digital art, journaling, coworking, or whatever you feel like bringing. Show up when you can, stay as long as you like, and enjoy some good company while you create.
- Price: Free, always
- Date: Every Saturday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM (doors open early, people stay late)
This hangout is free and always will be. Cost should never be a barrier to connection, but if you are able to contribute to the community, we appreciate it. Your support helps keep events like this going strong.
