Making friends as an adult shouldn’t be this hard, that’s why we started DFW Young & Social! This group is all about making it easier to meet new people, try new things, and build real connections. No membership fees, no pressure. Just fun, welcoming events where you can show up, be yourself, and connect with great people.

Monthly Walk N Talk at Arbor Hills Outer Trail
Arbor Hills Nature Preserve, 6701 W Parker Rd., Plano, al, USReady for a restorative dose of nature? Join us for a morning hike at Arbor Hill Nature Preserve for a day of fresh air, exercise, and good company!
TRAIL INFORMATION: This trail is considered to be an easy-to-moderate difficulty hike. That said, please understand this is a walk-at-your-own-risk trail—if you get hurt or lost it is your responsibility to get yourself where you need to be.
We will meet near the front entrance by the tables at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve at 9:00 am. The estimated hiking time is 1ish hour.

DFWYAS Social Run Club
Birds Fort Trail Park, 5756 Riverside Drive, Irving, TX, USLooking for a great way to start your Sunday? Member Rushil is hosting a weekly Run Club for the club, and you’re invited! Whether you're a runner, a jogger, or just looking for a casual morning walk, this is a chance to move, enjoy the fresh air, and connect with others.
This is a pet-friendly event, and you're welcome to bring your dog or cat along at your own risk. Just make sure pets stay leashed, are well-behaved and non-aggressive, and that you're responsible for their actions throughout the event.
📍 Location: Bird’s Fort Trail Park (Image map provided!)
🕗 8:45 AM – Meet Up & Warm Up (Stretch, chat, and get ready to go!)
🏃 9:00 AM – Run Begins (Set your own pace—run, jog, or walk!)
⌛ 10:00 AM – Official End Time (Feel free to continue if you’d like!)Post-Run Coffee Social – After the run, we’ll head to a nearby coffee shop for a relaxed hangout. If you’d rather skip the run and meet us for coffee, that works too!
This is an out-and-back route, meaning we’ll be following the same path both ways. Since this trail is popular with runners, walkers, and cyclists, please be mindful of your surroundings and share the path.

Crochet Class: Foundations
DFW Young & Social, 2309 Springlake Rd, Suite 600, Farmers Branch, tx, USCurious about crochet or looking to brush up on the basics? Our Crochet Foundations class is a relaxed, beginner friendly space to learn the essentials and enjoy crafting together. We will cover how to hold a hook, make a slip knot, chain stitch, and practice simple stitches to help you get started.
This class is open to all levels, and experienced crocheters are welcome to come hang out, practice, and help keep the space social and supportive.
Class size is limited to ten people so everyone gets plenty of individual attention.- When: Every second Sunday at 1:00 pm
- Price: $25 per class plus a 9% fee

This is a discussion-based meeting, so please come having already read the book. We’ll explore the characters, themes, timelines, and the moments that lingered with you, whether they made you swoon, reflect, or sit quietly for a minute.
