About us
Denver AI is focused on helping professionals and organizations in the Denver area learn, adopt and integrate AI towards their own advantage.
This group brings together operators, technologists, founders, and business leaders who are actively applying AI to accelerate decision-making, productivity, and growth.
Each month, we feature practical show-and-tell demos, real-world case studies, and expert talks or panels that bridge the gap between high-level AI strategy and hands-on implementation. We normally meet on the 4th Wednesday of every month at around 'happy hour' time.
Our goal is simple: move AI out of theory and into execution.
We meet monthly in Denver to learn, share what’s working, and build a local community focused on AI acceleration and measurable outcomes.
*We are currently seeking beer and pizza sponsors who want to support Denver’s growing AI adoption community.

Denver AI Presents: AI IMPACT Town Hall
Crimson & Gold Tavern, 2017 S University Blvd, Denver, CO 80210, USA, Denver, CO, USDenver AI is replacing AI Movie Trivia Nite with an AI Town Hall
We had a fun night of AI Movie Trivia planned for September.
Then the AI conversation changed when frontier model CEOs began speaking publicly about safety and pacing—such as Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei’s recent essay on AI risks and opportunities—while others argued to move full steam ahead. (See Amodei’s Note)Over the past several days, the headlines and public discussion around frontier AI have intensified dramatically. Some of the very people building the world’s most powerful AI systems are openly raising questions about how quickly this technology should advance, what safeguards are needed, and whether the industry needs to slow down.
And when the people building the frontier models start talking about hitting the brakes, we think it’s worth changing our agenda this month.
So Denver AI is postponing the trivia, pushing our September gathering back one week, and replacing it with something we believe our community needs right now:
Special Edition: AI Impact Town Hall
This won’t be another presentation about what AI might do someday.
We’re bringing the Denver AI community together to talk about what’s happening right now—and what it means for businesses, employees, entrepreneurs, technologists, parents, students, and all of us trying to figure out where this is headed.
- Should we actually be worried?
- Are the warnings justified—or are we watching another cycle of AI hype and fear?
- Should businesses continue accelerating AI adoption while some of the people building frontier AI are calling for greater caution?
- What does this mean for AI adoption inside companies? What about your own personal AI adoption?
- And perhaps the most practical question: Does any of this change what you'll be doing Monday morning?
We want perspectives from all parts of the spectrum: AI optimists. AI skeptics. Builders. Business leaders. People deeply concerned about AI safety. People concerned that we’re overreacting. And plenty of people somewhere in the middle who are simply trying to separate reality from an increasingly crazy news cycle.
This is a Town Hall—not a lecture, so we're doing it at Crimson & Gold (and not in a lecture hall). Invite those who have been talking about it as much as the rest of us.
We’ll begin with different perspectives from the Denver AI leadership. Then we’ll bring different perspectives into the conversation, open the discussion to the room, take questions, challenge assumptions, and talk candidly about what all of this means for the real-world adoption of AI.
This will be a first of this type of event for Denver AI.
The goal is to leave with a clearer, more grounded read on what's real, what's hype, and what it actually means for your work, your team, and your own AI decisions this week.
