From hikes and wild swims, to food and drink festivals, to secret beaches and woodland picnics, this group aims to offer a bit of everything, but the best of everything.
Feel free to come join us as we embrace all the delights of Devon!
This is an inclusive group for adults who enjoy getting out and exploring Devon together - whether for a day, a weekend, or something a bit special.
There’s also an optional WhatsApp group for Delightful Devon if you’d like to stay connected between events - sharing ideas, suggestions, and the occasional bit of coordination.
Meetup will remain the main place for event details.

Riverside walk along the Exeter Quay to Double Locks
Rockfish Exeter, 9 Piazza Terracina, Haven Road, Exeter, Devon, GBWe’ll meet at Rockfish on Exeter Quay before setting off on a riverside walk along the canal to Double Locks.
The route follows the flat towpath beside the Exeter Ship Canal. It’s around 1.5-2 miles each way and takes about 30-40 minutes, giving us plenty of time to chat as we go.
We’ll stop at Double Locks for a drink (and food if you’d like), then walk back along the same route to Rockfish.

Exeter Canal walk to The Imperial, Wetherspoons
Wool on the Exe, 2 Okehampton Street, EXETER, GBWe’ll meet at Wool on the Exe on Exe Bridges before setting off on a Canal walk to The Imperial - the Wetherspoons on New North Road.
The walk is around 45 minutes to 1 hour at a casual pace, giving us plenty of time to chat as we go.
Most of the walk is on a footpath next to the canal, with the final part on the approach to The Imperial on pavement.
The route includes some inclines, along with one steeper part (approach to The Imperial), but normal walking footwear should be fine.
We’ll also be crossing over Red Cow Crossing during the walk.We’ll finish at The Imperial for a drink, and food is available there if you’d like to eat.
Dogs: The Imperial accepts trained guide dogs and accredited assistance dogs.
Parking: There is Pay & Display parking near Okehampton Street, Exe Bridges/TK Maxx/M&S, or the Co-op car park on Cowick Street. The Imperial also has paid parking if you prefer to park near the venue.
