About us
Welcome to Dallas Pedals & Pints! We like to ride bikes, drink craft beer, drink wine, and meet new people. While not a racing group, we do tend to enjoy the ride portion of our events. That said, all of our events incorporate a social element. For instance, hanging out for post-ride dinner and/or drinks is standard. Drinking is not required, but most of our members do partake.
We do weekly recurring rides, pub crawls, rallies, festivals, short trips, and whatever else our participants dream up and make happen...with our support, of course.
The fine print:
*Helmets, bike lights at dusk, and water are mandatory for safety reasons. And please have a picture with your face unless it's cleared with the organizers.
*Unless otherwise specified in the event description this group is for adults.
*Our rides leave promptly at the start time. If you RSVP'd "Yes" and can't make it, please change your RSVP, even at the last minute so we aren't looking for you and the restaurant reservations are accurate.
*Our typical pace falls between 12-20 mph. <br>C Rides are 10-12 mph overall average pace. B rides are 12-14 mph overall average pace, and A rides are 15+ mph overall average pace.
*The ability to ride at least 12 mph is a good way to decide if our slower rides suit you. You should be able to complete a lap around White Rock Lake (10.9 miles) in less than an hour.
*You should be able to ride for 2 hours with a few short water breaks.
**If the stated pace or distance are more than you want, please consider Jacquie's group "Sore Butt Cyclists." We're all good friends.
Please check us out. We'll welcome you with open arms.
