There is no AI-writing, I write the summaries myself and I aim to make them as in-depth as I possibly can. An average summary can be around 6.000 words and often it is written chapter by chapter.
Additionally, you shall soon also find think pieces, sharp commentary on contemporary voices, and timeless literature.
About Us
If you find yourself here, chance is, you are curious. You are a wanderer, an explorer of ideas, seeking the 'whys' and 'hows' of our world, of what makes us human.
In a culture dominated by “hyper-connectivity”, we often lose sight of what truly matters; the treasure of ancient wisdom, the beauty of curiosity, and the profound meaning of community.
The Curious Collective is here to rekindle those flames. 🔥
We believe in the power of shared ideas, meaningful conversations, and sharing the journey.
As Joseph Addison wisely said, "Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body." Our collective mission is to exercise our minds, curiosity, and sense of belonging to a community of like-minded people.
We are not: Intellectual W*nkers. We keep it real, there is no intellectual snobbery here.
We are: Ordinary humans, who crave knowledge, connection, and someone to chat about cool ideas and share the journey with.
How does it work?
One book, in one month. You pick the medium and the pace. We then meet to discuss ideas, share insights, learn, and share stories.
What are the books and how are they selected?
This originally began as a Non-Fiction book club yet we are expanding to read classic literature and contemporary voices just as well. We curate our book selection based on recommendations from leading thinkers, authors, and accomplished individuals.
What genre of books will be selected?
A wide net of topics: Psychology, History, Self-Development ( nothing wuwu), Philosophy, Creativity, Storytelling, Design, Innovation, Health, Wellbeing and so on.
Stay Curious – for there's always more to discover.

Regardless of whether you have read the book, take the time to go through the essay/summary ( it will be published on Substack a few days before our event ) - it will help to ground the conversation on an even level for everyone on Saturday.

Book of the Month
In our last chapter, we explored love—or its absence—within the familial and domestic lives of ordinary people. Across a multitude of short stories, Carver offered us glimpses into working-class America, where his characters repeatedly reached for something they seemed never to have fully experienced themselves.
This time, we turn our gaze to South Korea with Han Kang’s The Vegetarian, and to the life of Yeong-hye: a woman who, after waking from a series of horrific and violent dreams, abruptly decides to stop eating meat—a seemingly simple choice that begins to unravel the lives and relationships around her.
The Vegetarian asks difficult questions about family, duty, care, and what love begins to look like when it comes into conflict with the autonomy and agency of the person we claim to love.
Told through three distinct perspectives, the novel places us around a protagonist we can never fully access. We come to know Yeong-hye almost entirely through the eyes of others, as those around her struggle to understand, contain, interpret, and adapt to the changes she makes to her own life.
Celebrated by critics around the world, The Vegetarian is a darkly allegorical, Kafka-esque tale of power, obsession, and one woman’s struggle to break free from the violence both without and within her.
If you have a problem getting yourself a copy of the book/s, get in touch!
