What we’re about
A Unique Healing & Experience for Connection:
Come As You Are is a welcoming and inclusive group via the NAMI CT Young Adult Connection Community. Whether you’re into music, art, books, gaming, or anything in between, this group is for you. Let’s come together to support one another, make new connections, and have meaningful conversations. Join us for sober meetups, social events, and discussions that support our mental health. Come as you are, and let’s build lasting connections!
Are you over the age of 29? No worries - join the Continuum!
NAMI Connecticut Continuum Connection is a peer-led support group model for individuals ages 30+ seeking a non-traditional style group. These groups focus on managing mental wellness through thought-provoking activities, recovery skill building, goal planning, socialization, and supportive discussion.
Also consider joining our Out of the Abyss - Suicide Support and Recovery Network!
These non-clinical groups focus on navigating the darkness of suicide with meaningful connection & support, robust dialogue, and activities/strategies to manage urges. This group is intended to provide a non-judgmental space to openly share about pain and experiences, create opportunities to build community, find hope, and heal.
Check out our Young Adult Out of the Abyss group as well! This model is an adventure program for young adults to navigate the darkness in the current environment - and beyond. This non-judgmental group is both a time to strategize and share ideas for coping with difficult life circumstances AND an adventure module for the 5th edition of the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game.
Looking for additional support? Check out our list of other groups at https://namict.org/calendar/
We offer groups for families and caregivers as well!
