About us

Cambridge City Green has been around since 1993 and is a small group of volunteers that leverages other groups and thousands of individuals to "be the change they want to see in the world." City Green volunteers develop, host, and support community environmental projects like tree planting, City Nature Challenge and citizen science monitoring, litter clean ups, forest walks, pollinator seed give-aways, workshops and other events. City Green is an action-oriented subcommittee of the Cambridge Environmental Advisory Committee of Council. Join us in planning community projects, or starting new ones, or just participating in one of the events.

125 Salisbury Avenue, 125 Salisbury Ave, Cambridge, ON N1S 3B2, Canada, Cambridge, ON, CA
Join us for a beautiful autumn walk in Victoria Park forest to hear from a City Forester and City Green volunteers about this rare upland red oak woodlot, invasive species, a restoration project underway and other interesting aspects and history of this place.

The walk is approximately 1.5 hours on mostly gravel trails, some sloped areas, some footpaths. Folks are encouraged to park on-street at the Salisbury Ave. dead end across from Highland Public School (parking is permitted on Saturdays and Sundays) and enter the forest where the walk will start and end. Use "125 Salisbury Ave." in your navigation program.
