About us
Bodhicitta Sangha is a Buddhist practice community rooted in the Buddha-Dharma.
We gather for meditation, chanting, Dharma talks, self-inquiry, reflection, service, and spiritual friendship.
Our practice is guided by Venerable SooSeong, an ordained Zen monk in the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism. Under his guidance, we cultivate mindfulness, compassion, ethical living, inner stability, and direct insight into the nature of suffering and awakening.
Bodhicitta means “Awakening Heart.”
It is the sincere aspiration to awaken wisdom and compassion for the benefit of all beings.
This is a place for true Buddhist practice.
We are not here only to relax, feel better, or learn meditation as a technique. We are here to walk the path of transformation. We practice to reduce suffering at its root, soften self-centeredness, train the mind, open the heart, and bring the Dharma into daily life.
Beginners are welcome. Experienced practitioners are welcome. Anyone sincerely interested in meditation, Buddhism, compassion, wisdom, and awakening is welcome.
Our gatherings include weekly Buddhist services, meditation classes, Dharma reflection, chanting, community practice, and opportunities for service and outreach.
As this community grows, we’ll use this Meetup page to share upcoming services, meditation classes, Dharma events, community updates, and ways to practice together.
All are welcome here.
