I'm Harry, the main organizer of this group. Along with our experienced event organizers, Lizzy, Erick, and others, we'd like to welcome you to Bay Area Socials - a community in the San Francisco Bay Area for people who want to connect, make new friends, hang out, and have fun!
Our socials range from brunch gatherings to outdoor adventures, picnics, beach hangouts, book clubs, trivia nights, coffee chats, dinners, art galleries, movie nights, and activities like dancing, ice skating, roller disco, walking, hiking, kayaking, and more. Whether youโre new to the city or a longtime local, this group is all about building connections and enjoying everything the SF Bay Area has to offer.

Picnic + Fireworks at the Golden Gate Bridge (Independence Day)
Warming Hut, 983 Marine Dr, San Francisco, CA, USPlease bring something to share with the group, whether it's a favorite dish, dessert, fruit, or beverages.
Celebrate Independence Day with an afternoon and evening of great company, good food, and an unforgettable view of San Francisco Bay! We'll gather near the Warming Hut beginning at 5:00 PM for a relaxed holiday picnic, enjoying the scenic waterfront, meeting new friends, and sharing food and drinks. Feel free to arrive earlier if you'd like to help save space and secure one of the best viewing spots for the evening.
This year promises to be especially memorable as San Francisco celebrates America's 250th Anniversary. The fireworks are expected to be launched from the Golden Gate Bridge, creating a spectacular backdrop unlike anything we've seen before. As the sun sets, we'll settle in and enjoy what could be one of the most impressive fireworks displays in the city's history. The show is expected to begin around 9:30 PM and last approximately 20 minutes.
A friendly reminder: this is San Francisco, so fog, wind, and chilly temperatures are always possible, and fireworks visibility can never be guaranteed. Be sure to bring warm layers, a blanket or chair, and a sense of adventure.
Public transit, rideshare, biking, or walking are highly recommended, as parking in the area will be extremely limited on the holiday.
