✅Performance and Reliability Engineering in the AI Age

Performance engineering used to be about building apps that are fast, efficient, and reliable for the person on the other end. But a new reality has emerged: your workload's consumers now include autonomous agents calling your APIs and expecting deterministic latency at machine speed. Meanwhile, proving your system can handle both audiences before they arrive requires a fundamentally different approach to testing.

In this session, we'll explore what performance and reliability engineering looks like when you're designing architectures that must serve humans and AI agents side by side. You'll learn how to set SLOs that actually mean something when outputs aren't deterministic, how to design for the gap between a human who'll wait three seconds and an agent that won't tolerate 200ms, and how to validate those design decisions through performance and reliability testing that simulates real mixed workloads at scale.

We'll also show how to close the loop with AWS DevOps Agent for automated root cause analysis that correlates metrics across services, pinpoints regressions, and delivers fix recommendations without manual triage.

✅Zero-drift Terraform modernization with AWS Transform custom
📌 Speaker: Badri Kesavan - Senior Specialist Solutions Architect, Migration and Modernisation, AWS

Every long-lived Terraform estate has one: the thousand-line main.tf nobody wants to touch, because moving resources around means Terraform plans to destroy and recreate live infrastructure. In this talk, Badri will show how to teach AWS Transform custom — in plain language, no scripting — to refactor a flat, deployed Terraform codebase into typed, per-tier modules while the running infrastructure never moves, with a no-op terraform plan as the machine-checkable proof. We'll walk through a real three-tier stack, watch the agent catch and fix its own mistakes against the validation gate, and cover the guardrails a platform team needs before pointing an agent at live state. You'll leave knowing how to author your first transformation definition and run it on your own estate.
