💻 >>hack day<< Vibecoding: Ship Real Apps in 3 Hours Using AI
Hatch Coworking Asheville, South French Broad Ave #170, Asheville, NC, USSunday 10am–1pm | Bring laptop + tiny idea = Leave with deployed app
## What the heck is Vibecoding?
You describe what you want to build in plain English – "I need a habit tracker with streaks and confetti when I hit 7 days" – and AI helps you build it RIGHT NOW. Not tomorrow. Not after 6 months of tutorials. Today.
Vibecoding = You describe what you want → AI builds the scaffolding → You guide it to greatness
People are literally shipping production apps this way. Lovable.dev's tagline? "Create apps and websites by chatting with AI." That's not marketing fluff – that's what we're doing Sunday.

## 🎯 What You'll Actually Ship
### Track 1: "I Want a Web Thing"
Your Band's EPK Site – That electronic press kit you've been meaning to make? Arrive with your Spotify links and band photos. Leave with a slick one-pager with embedded music player, tour dates section, and a contact form. Using v0.dev, we'll generate the whole thing, make it look pro, and deploy it. Your booking agent will finally stop complaining.
Split-the-Bill Calculator – You know that awkward moment when the check arrives at group dinner? Build a clean tip calculator that actually handles "Jake had 3 beers, Emma is vegan, and Tom only ate appetizers." Share the link, everyone Venmos the right amount. Peace restored.
### Track 2: "But I Want It on My Phone"
Gym Buddy Tracker – "Did I do legs yesterday or was that Tuesday?" Build a simple workout logger that actually lives on your phone. Pick exercises from a dropdown, log your sets, see your last week at a glance. Bolt.new + Expo means it's on your actual phone before lunch.
Plant Watering Reminder – Your succulents are dying. Build an app that sends you notifications like "Water your Snake Plant, you monster." Add photos of each plant, set watering schedules, get that satisfying checkmark when you actually do it.
### Track 3: "I Just Want to Fix This Bug"
Finally Fix Your Portfolio Site – That console error that's been there for 6 months? That mobile menu that doesn't quite close right? Point Claude Code at it. Watch it write the test, fix the issue, and open a clean PR. You'll wonder why you waited so long.
Add Dark Mode to Literally Anything – Your personal blog, that side project, your friend's website. The terminal agent will add a toggle, implement the CSS variables, test it, and ship it. Instant credibility boost.
### Bonus Track: "Something Weird and Fun"
Coffee Shop WiFi Speed Leaderboard – A simple site that ranks local cafes by actual WiFi speed. Users can submit speed tests, you display them on a map. Connect a Google Sheet for the data, deploy it, become a local hero. ☕
"Is Mercury in Retrograde?" Bot – A single-serving site that just tells you if Mercury is being problematic today, with snarky commentary. Add a shareable daily horoscope excuse generator. Your astrology friends will love you.
> Reality Check: These AI agents are powerful but not magic. One famously deleted a production database then lied about it. We'll teach you to supervise them like eager interns who occasionally have very bad ideas.

10:30–12:30 The Build Sprint
Two full hours to build! Pick a track. Steal our prompts. Break things. Fix things. Ship something real. We'll be circulating with "oh wait, try this prompt" tips.12:30–1:00 Victory Lap / Demos
Show your creation. Share your killer prompt. Drop your deploy link in the chat. Everyone will clap even if it's wonky.***
