Hello everyone in the Antelope Valley (and surrounding areas),
Looking to get out of the house, meet cool people, and have some fun?
Come join us for our bi-weekly board game events that range from light and casual games to heavy strategic euro-style board games.
Feel free to request games from our extensive game collections (from the links below) or even bring your own. Never played any of these games? No worries, games will be taught to everyone and assistance offered for anyone looking for help.

As with all of our programs, individuals under 18 must be accompanied by someone 18+ who will be responsible for them (does not have to be a parent).

Mini-Event at Transplants Brewery - King of New York
Transplants Brewing Company & Live Music Venue, 40242 La Quinta Ln Unit 101, Palmdale, CA, US"There's always something happening in the city that never sleeps. Maybe it's the lights, maybe it's the energy, or maybe it's the giant monsters trying to demolish the place!
King of New York is a standalone game from designer Richard Garfield that keeps the core ideas of King of Tokyo while introducing new ways to play. As in KoT, your goal is to be the first monster to collect 20 victory points (VPs) or to be the last monster standing. On your turn, you roll six dice up to three times, then carry out the actions on those dice. Claws cause damage to other monsters, hearts heal damage to yourself, and energy is stored up so that you can purchase power cards that provide unique effects not available to anyone else.
What's new in King of New York is that you can now try to become a star in the big city; more specifically, you can achieve "Fame", which nets you VPs, but superstar status is fleeting, so enjoy your time in the spotlight.The game board for King of New York is larger than in KoT with each monster occupying a district in the city and everyone trying to shine in Manhattan. When you attack, you can displace a monster in another district, whether to escape military forces or to find new smashing opportunities. Yes, smashing because you can now destroy buildings and get bonuses for doing so, but the more destruction you cause, the more intense the military response." ~ BGG
We will have access to most every expansion (excluding promo characters) for the "King of ..." series. Expect to see the "Power Up" expansion. As for other mini-expansions, it will be dependent on what characters players choose.
Time to get smashed!
This is a mini-event where we showcase and play one game. Mini-events will range in size depending on the player count of the game. Because of this, we will only take those that RSVP, but you are free to come watch. Please only RSVP if you know you WILL attend. Space is limited.
We will be playing at Transplants Brewery. Check out my collection over at Board Game Geek and make a suggestion of a game you'd like to see showcased.
The event starts at 7:00 pm and will conclude after we finish. I only plan on running a single game, but depending on the mood we may play more. There is no cost for the event.
There are occasional food trucks to buy grub and snacks from and Transplants has a variety of spirits, along with drinks for those into non-alcoholic beverages, if you would care to support a local brewery. They have been nice enough to provide the space for us to use.
