About us
Welcome to our Meetup Group
This is a space for anyone who loves being on (or near) the water — whether that means sailing, windsurfing, paddleboarding, or just hanging out with great people by the lake.
Our goal is simple: to bring together a community of like-minded people who enjoy sharing time outdoors, discovering new spots, and making the most of every breeze and sunny day.
What We Do
During the warmer months, we organise relaxed social sailing evenings, windsurfing meetups, and SUP sessions where everyone’s welcome — from total beginners to experienced riders.
We also enjoy spontaneous lake days, barbecues by the water, and the occasional weekend getaway to explore new places or chase the wind a little farther afield.
It’s all about connection, fun, and getting people out on the water together.
Get Involved
We’re always looking for friendly people who’d like to help our community grow — whether that’s leading a casual SUP morning, helping organize a sailing meetup, or just spreading the word. You don’t need to be an expert, just enthusiastic and safety-minded.
If you’ve ever thought “I wish there were more people to paddle/sail/windsurf with”, this is exactly the place for you!
Beyond the Meetups
For those who want to take things a bit further, we also offer beginner and improver courses, coaching, equipment rentals, and trips to some of the best water spots in Switzerland and beyond.
Community members also get discounts on gear and personalised advice if you’re looking to buy or try new equipment.
Stay Connected
We’d love for you to be part of the conversation — share ideas, invite others, and help us build this community together.
Join our WhatsApp group for the latest meetups, impromptu lake days, and general water-loving chatter.
***
We can’t wait to meet you — on the water, on the shore, or over a drink after a great session. Come join us and be part of the adventure!
Kind regards,
Dave

All Winds Sailing Adventure: Real-World Experience in Croatia
Please note: The official sign-up for this event is on our website:
https://allwindsadventures.com/events/active-sailing-croatia
Join us for a one-week small group sailing holiday. A hands-on sailing adventure on the stunning Croatian Coast.
This week is designed for anyone who wants to experience life on the water or actively improve their sailing skills in a relaxed, supportive environment. We cater to all levels. If you already have your certification, why not take the lead for a day under the supervision of our commercially endorsed Yachtmaster and sailing coach (Dave) to shake off the nerves and gain real-world confidence? If you are brand new to sailing or interested in pursuing qualifications down the line, we will help you get the absolute most out of the week, no matter your starting point.
### Our Coaching Philosophy: Independence, Not Anxiety
Coaching is led by Dave, an ex-RYA School Chief Instructor with an honours degree in Sports Science, who has been teaching wind sports since 1992.
> Dave cut his teeth teaching in single-handed dinghies—boats that capsize the moment you make a mistake. When your student is entirely alone on the water, you have to teach them true, calm independence from day one.
> He brings that exact psychology to our 41-foot yacht “All Winds”. It’s why on our casual Lake Zug evening sails, we regularly have completely nervous beginners comfortably taking the boat off the dock on their very first trip.
On this trip, mistakes are just data, never failures. We accept no one is perfect and use this as our basis for improving.
What to Expect
Saturday – Arrival & Check-In
Meet at the charter base in the afternoon. Your coach will have already taken delivery of our yacht (often All Winds, a Beneteau Oceanis 41.1). Once onboard, we’ll do a thorough introduction to the yacht and discuss our route options for the week. Depending on the weather and the crew, we might head out to anchor on the first night, or stay put and enjoy a cosy meal onboard or at the pizzeria right at the end of our dock!
Sunday – Familiarisation Sail
A relaxed day to get our sea legs and get to know the boat and crew. We’ll do a warm-up sail, practice some basic manoeuvres, and review the boat’s systems so everyone feels comfortable and at home onboard.
Monday to Wednesday – Seize the opportunity
This is your time to step up. Ask whatever you want, learn about sail trim, navigation, boat handling, or simply explore the Croatian coastline. We might stop to explore an abandoned submarine base, drop anchor for a swim in a crystal-clear bay, or just enjoy the shoreline as we cruise past. We will hunt for unforgettable sunsets and make as many great memories as possible.
Thursday – Flex Day
Sailing is dictated by the weather. Depending on the wind and how far we’ve explored, we might need to put some solid nautical miles in today to get within a reasonable distance of our home base before Friday’s return.
Friday – Skills Consolidation & Debrief
A final breakfast on anchor followed by a shorter sail back. We aim to get back to base before the Friday afternoon marina chaos, giving us time to enjoy hot showers and a final apéro in the cockpit before packing up.
Saturday – Departure:
Check out and departure first thing in the morning.
### Cabin Comfort & Fairness
We believe comfort on a week-long trip is non-negotiable. We will never put you into a cabin with a stranger.
- Solo Travellers: You get your own private cabin sanctuary to unwind and recharge.
- Friends or Partners: If you wish to share a cabin with a friend or partner, we offer a lower-cost option for the second person.
No matter which option you choose, there is no hierarchy on board. Everyone gets the exact same high-level coaching, equal time at the helm, and premium treatment
No shouting, no crowded cabins—just a great experience on the water.
Life on Board
Sailing is an incredible adventure, but a yacht is not a hotel. If you are new to sailing, here are a few realities of boat life to keep in mind:
- We Are a Team: This is a hands-on boat. There is no stewardess or hired crew to clean up after you. Everyone pitches in with the cooking, washing up, and keeping the boat tidy. It’s a core part of the true sailing experience and builds great camaraderie.
- Water & Power are Finite: When we are moored in a marina, you’ll have access to full shore showers and 220v power (like the wall plugs at home). But when we are out at anchor, we rely on the water and electricity we carry with us. That means quick “navy showers” onboard, only USB charging for phones, and being mindful of leaving lights on.
- The Marine Toilet (Head): Marine plumbing is a delicate ecosystem. The golden rule of sailing applies: Nothing goes into the toilet unless you have eaten or drunk it first. All toilet paper and wipes go into a bin, not the bowl. We will teach you exactly how to use it safely!
- Space is Premium: Soft duffel bags only, please! Hard suitcases cannot be stowed on a yacht. We live in close quarters, so bringing an easy-going attitude is the most important thing you can pack.
Prerequisites
- A sense of adventure, a desire to be powered by the wind, and a willingness to learn.
Group Size
- Typically 3–4 participants
- Absolute Maximum of 5 guests (the boat can theoretically sleep 8, we cap our numbers so everyone has space to breathe.)
- Private cabins for comfort (no sharing with strangers)
- Option to share a cabin with a friend or partner at a reduced rate

Why Join All Winds Adventures?
We aren’t a massive sailing school churning out certificates, and this isn’t a high-stress boot camp. We are here to bridge the gap between having a license and actually having the confidence to enjoy your holiday.
- No Crowds, No Strangers in Your Bed: Unlike standard charter schools that cram 8 people onto a boat, we cap this trip at 5 guests max, and you get a private cabin.
- Real-World Application: We don’t just sail in circles around a buoy. We do real passages, anchor in real bays, and deal with real-world marina dynamics.
- Low-Ego, High-Support Coaching: Whether you are taking the helm for the very first time or practicing a Med mooring, the focus is on building muscle memory in a calm, shout-free environment.
- A True Holiday: Yes, you will learn a ton. But we also make time for a sundowner at anchor, swimming in clear water, and actually enjoying the Croatian coast.

Windsurfing Improver Clinic: Chase the Wind & Break Your Plateau
Location not specified yetSign-up for this event is available on our website (link here).
Join our WhatsApp Group here.
Stop Struggling, Start Sailing
You’ve mastered the basics. You can stand up, sail out, and turn around—but now you want more. You want to be faster, smoother, and waste less energy on the water.
If you feel stuck at the same plateau, this Windsurfing Improver Clinic is the breakthrough you need.
Unlike fixed-location sailing schools, we go where the wind is. We monitor weather forecasts across Central Switzerland (Sihlsee, Urnersee, Sempachersee, Zugersee) and confirm the exact location 24–48 hours in advance to guarantee the best possible coaching conditions. Is this course for you?
This session is designed specifically for intermediate riders and improvers looking to level up:- You can comfortably sail out and return to your starting point (stay upwind).
- You have completed a beginner course or have equivalent practical experience.
- You want to refine your stance, execute cleaner tacks, learn to gybe, or get your first taste of planing.
Not sure if your level fits? Contact us directly, and we’ll help you find the right group.
What will we cover?
We move past survival mode and focus entirely on efficiency, leverage, and style:- The Science of Stance: How to position your body weight and leverage to eliminate fatigue.
- Steering with Vision: Master smoother tacks and gybes by directing your head and shoulders correctly.
- Intro to Harness & Footstraps: Take the first steps toward sailing hooked in when conditions allow.
- Rig Tuning & Setup: Learn how downhaul and outhaul adjustments transform how your sail handles in different wind strengths.

Your Coach: Biomechanics Meets 35+ Years of Experience
You’ll be coached by Dave, a former RYA Senior Instructor and Level 5 Coach with an honours degree in Sports Science.- The Expert Eye: Dave spots the single micro-adjustment in your posture or hand position that is holding you back.
- Biomechanics Approach: Instead of telling you to “try harder,” Dave uses sports science to explain why the board reacts the way it does, helping you work with the physics of the rig.
Logistics & Gear
- Location: Confirmed 24–48 hours prior based on wind forecasts (e.g., Sihlsee, Urnersee, Sempachersee, Zugersee).
- Equipment Included: Modern wide-style progression boards, modern rigs, wetsuits, and buoyancy aids are provided.
- Transport: Carpooling from Zug/Zurich areas can frequently be arranged among participants.
Booking & Price
- Standard Price: CHF 150.00
Booking is available on the All Winds Adventures Website
Group sizes are strictly limited to ensure personalised*, 1-on-1 coaching feedback.*
