Diva (1981)
Un film de Jean-Jacques Beineix
Jules. Frédéric Andrei
Cynthia Hawkins. Wilhelmina Fernandez
Alba. They An Lu
Jean Saporta. Jacques Fabbri
Le curé Dominique Piñon
L’antillais Gérard Darmon
Questions to kick off our discussion:
Laquelle? Pourquoi?
9. Recommanderiez-vous ce film à vos amis?

Wilmette Public Library, 1242 Wilmette Ave, Wilmette IL 60091, Wilmette, IL, USHolly Clayson will explore little-known, forgotten and erased aspects of the Eiffel Tower's identity when it first arose in the French capital in 1889. The tallest structure on Earth, it was the centerpiece of that year's Exposition Universelle. She will discuss the Tower's use of profuse iron ornament and illumination as surveillance alongside a consideration of its function as the emblem par excellence of Republican Imperialism. She will also discuss the imagery of the Tower in the visual arts.
