Vic Park Community Games Night [Free event thanks to the Town of Vic Park]
Victoria Park Community Centre, 248 Gloucester St, East Victoria Park, WA, AUGet ready for a night of fun ๐, friends ๐ซ, and friendly competition! ๐ช
Join us for our ever-popular monthly board games night, where you can meet new people, try new games, and enjoy some relaxed socialising.
This event is now Free after we received funding from the Town of Victoria Park to run these events.
About the ๐ฒ board games night ๐
Just two weeks after launching Activate Mental Health, founder Rahul Seth took the stage at a Vic Park Collective crowdfunding dinner in Victoria Park. His passionate pitch paid off, securing $890 in funding.
Demonstrating his commitment to the broader mental health community, Rahul donated 25% of the funds to another local charity. With the remaining amount, he purchased a collection of board games, laying the foundation for Activate's monthly board game nights.
Since August 2016, these nights have been a staple at the Victoria Park Community Centre, fostering connection and community among attendees.

What are we fundraising for?
Our goal is to help make us a more sustainable organisation. ๐ฑ
Activate Mental Health is in a really fortunate position. Thanks to our incredible supporters and sponsors, our overhead costs are fully covered beyond our operational expenses, something not many charities can say.
To remain sustainable and continue growing our impact, our biggest need right now is funding for a Volunteer Manager. This role would support and coordinate our amazing volunteer team and help us recruit new volunteers, particularly across Perthโs outer suburbs where support is needed most.
Weโre also seeing a real gap in daytime mental health and connection events, especially for:
๐ People on the NDIS
๐ Single parents with children at school
๐ FIFO workers
๐ Anyone who experiences loneliness during the dayWeโre more than just another awareness-raising mental health charity. We are providing a tangible solution to the worldโs biggest health epidemic by simply providing safe spaces for fun and human connection.
