This is entirely new and revolutionary type of event for singles! We love the idea of traditional speed dating but sometimes it's hard to come up with things to talk about. That's why at a Play & Date Singles Game Night you'll have fun, easy games to play to get to know everyone instead of dealing with the usual dating "job interview" type questions. We find that it's a much better way to get to know someone! You'll be put in Zoom breakout rooms with a small group of singles and you'll play games that will help you get to know each other. Essentially, you'll work with the other people as a team and compare answers with the other teams (we explain the games in more detail below).

HOW THE "MATCHING" WORKS:
At the end of the event all of the singles attending are invited to put their email address in the group chat so that other interested attendees can contact them. If you're not comfortable putting your "every day" email address you can use an alternative email address or you can make another email address to use for the event. Yahoo, Outlook and Gmail allow you create several free email addresses and setting one up takes about 3 minutes. Then after the event you can feel free to email any people you'd like to see again. If people email you, it's up to you if you'd like to reply to them.

WHAT KIND OF GAMES WILL WE BE PLAYING?
The fun games are set up to break the ice, help you gauge compatibility, make quality connections and to have a really fun night. An example game we like to play is "Dating Feud" which is similar to the popular prime time TV show we all know. In this game you and your group will be asked fun relationship style questions like, "Name a gift that women love men to give them". You will work together with a small group of singles to come up with what you think is the most popular answer and then you'll find out if you got the top answer. We'll also be playing fun games similar to "Taboo", "Catch Phrase" and "Blank Slate" (In Blank Slate, the host will show you a word followed by a blank. For example: Chicken _________. You'll write down a word that follows the word Chicken such as "Soup". Essentially you're trying to predict what will be a popular answer. We do different fun games at each event we throw! Another game we play is "Would You Rather" where we ask you fun questions like "Would you rather live the rest of your life without ever being able to watch a movie ever again or would you rather never be able to listen to any song/music again?". You answer the question and then you have to try and pick the most popular answer. You're then brought back from the breakout room into the main room to hear how everyone else answered the question. HOW IT WORKS
** We book a table for 7 to 12 singles looking to meet new people
** You'll get to enjoy cocktails (or non-alcoholic mocktails) and even order some food or an appetizer if you'd like while doing fun and easy icebreaker games to help you get to know everyone.

** You will play fun icebreaker games to get to know everyone.

** After you get your ticket we give you the table reservation name... You just tell the venue host the reservation name and you'll be directed to our table. Because there's no awkward check in process, no one else at the venue will even know you're at a singles event! It will just look like a group of friends having fun and talking around a table!

HERE'S THE REALLY COOL PART!
Before the event, all attendees will set up a quick profile with their picture on our app that takes less than 5 minutes to set up (only the other attendees of this event will see your profile). After the event we activate the profiles and send you a special link where you'll be able to see all of the other singles that attended the event. You can just swipe on the people you'd like to stay in touch with. It's that simple! You can swipe on people you're potentially interested in dating or even people that you think would make a good friends. We have an option to swipe on someone "as a friend" so people can also swipe on potential friends of either gender and not feel weird or awkward about it (we all need new friends!) making it a great way to also meet some wing men or wing women to go out with or do other fun activities with in the future. This event has led to countless relationships and friendships because of the smaller group and intimate setting you really get to know everyone and truly connect. You'll be doing fun "get to know you" icebreaker games like "Friendly Feud" which is similar to the popular prime time TV show we all know. In this game you and the other singles at the table will be asked fun questions like, "Name a gift that women love men to give them". You will try to come up with the most popular answer and then you'll find out if you got the top answer. Another example of an icebreaker game we do is "Would You Rather" where we ask interesting questions like, "Would you rather live in a small apartment by with 10 strangers for a year or on an island completely by yourself for a year". Everyone answers and tries to guess what the most popular answer will. It's so much fun and great way to get to know everyone!

This event has led to countless relationships and new friendships formed because after the event you'll be able to stay in touch with the people you met at the event by reaching out and contacting them on our app. After the event is over we allow you to login to the app and swipe on the people you'd like to stay in touch with. It's similar to a dating app but you'll have actually met and mingled with the people in person before deciding if you want to match and stay in touch with them! After you get your ticket you'll be able to upload a photo of yourself on our webpage (only viewable by the other event attendees). After you sign up you will get an email from us with instructions on how to upload your photo to our app/webpage. It's the perfect way to meet someone, merging new technology and good old fashioned meeting in real life!

CAN I PAY AT THE VENUE DOOR?
We do not accept payment at the venue. You must pre-pay and get your ticket online.

DOES MY TICKET INCLUDE DRINKS?
Your ticket doesn't cover drinks. There is a great selection of drinks (and/or food you can order at the venue). Your ticket covers the cost of us organizing and marketing the event.

HOW MANY WILL BE ATTENDING?
We usually have between 7 and 12 people in attendance. We always try to make sure we have a minimum of 7 (hence our name) people. On average we usually have between 8 and 10 people attend.

IS THE EVENT GENDER BALANCED?.
We do our best to keep the ratios close to even but sometimes there may be one or two more women and sometimes there may be one or two more men.

CAN I ARRIVE LATE?
Try to arrive on time or even a few minutes early.

CAN I COME ALONE?
Yes, about 85% come on their own.

ARE THERE DRINKS?
Yes, there's a full menu of great drinks you can order at the bar.

IS THERE FOOD AVAILABLE?
Yes you can order food. The venue has a food menu and great appetizers available to order.

IF I ATTENDED A PAST PARTY OF 7 SIP & SWIPE CAN I ATTEND ANOTHER ONE?
Absolutely! We change up the icebreakers at each event so come to as many events as you'd like.

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?
While we don't have a dress code we ask that you please look neat/presentable. What you wear to work or what you'd where for after work happy hour drinks is fine.

IS THERE A REFUND POLICY?
If you need to cancel, please email us and we can transfer you to a future event. However we do not offer transfers if you cancel on the day of the event or don't show up.

After the event, we'll leave the event open for about 15 minutes so you can exchange contact information with anyone else from the event. This is a great opportunity to make new friends. Typically about 65% of the attendees are singles so it's even a chance to possibly meet that special someone!

FAQ:

If I have friends or family members that don't live with me, can they be put on a team with me? Yes! We'd say about 75% of participants sign up on their own but if you have any friends or family members that want to join, they can too (simply message the host at the beginning of the event and ask to be placed on the same team as them). Each player needs to buy their own ticket. If you have a family member/s that is same household as you, they are welcome to sit next to you and you can play along with you but each device needs to purchase their own ticket.

If I attended a past event with you, can I sign up for this one? Yes, In fact we never use repeat questions and we always change up the games so feel free to sign up with as many of our upcoming events as you'd like!

How do I join the event? After you sign up on to Eventbrite we will send you a link with an invitation to join the event. We'll send you that link by the day of the event. If for some reason you don't see an email from us by the event date, make sure to check your spam folder in case it ended up there by accident.

What is the age range? All ages (Over 18) are welcome. We usually have a good mix of ages.

How many will be participating? We expect between 15 and 30 people.
