About us
This group is for adults who like to hike, snowshoe, x-country ski, kayak, canoe, bicycle and pursue other outdoor activities. We will focus these activities in the Shawangunk Mountains and in other Hudson Valley locations like the Catskills, Taconics, Hudson Highlands on both sides of the river, and other areas we find interesting. Hikes and other activities will range from easy to difficult. The pace may be slow, moderate or even somewhat brisk (depending on your fitness level and experience), but our coordinators will attempt to make certain that everyone finishes as part of the group.

Join Dan and I as we hike beautiful Clarence Fahnestock State Park. We will meet at the Big Woods Trailhead off Route 301 in Cold Spring, NY.
Distance: 6 to 61/2 miles. Elevation: @750-800feet. This hike offers fields, streams and gorgeous ponds. There is one stream crossing that does not offer a bridge so we must use rocks to cross - please make sure you are comfortable with this. There are a few short ups that will give you a nice little workout. If you cannot make it to the hike feel free to join us at El Coyote. Just join the event and let us know in the comments section.
