Hello altogether! This group aims to bring together all hiking enthusiasts from Düsseldorf and its region. Our hikes lead us across Düsseldorf as well as all the beautiful places surrounding our city. By the way: Every member is more than welcome to suggest his and her own hiking ideas. Simply write a message to one of our organizers and we'll figure out a great tour! On another note, this group is proud to be a very international communtity with great folks from all around the world. What defines the meetup culture is the mutual respect towards each other regardless of one's ethnicity, sexuality or political views. All that matters is the willingness to having a great time together! :)

🌲 HIKING DAY RUHR 2025 – Special Edition 🚶♀️

This September, we’re joining the Ruhr Regional Association’s Hiking Day – a huge event celebrating hiking in the Ruhr Valley! Our route will take us around Bochum-Dahlhausen, home to Germany’s largest private railway museum.
✨ Highlights
* Hike with a large community of outdoor enthusiasts
* Explore the Ruhr Valley on a 17.9 km moderate trail (Komoot estimate: 4h 53m)
* Total elevation: ⬆️ 265 m / ⬇️ 265 m
* Part of the official Hiking Day Ruhr 2025 program 🎉📍 Meeting Point & Schedule
* 09:00 Düsseldorf Hbf (everyone is free to join at another stop)
* Train: 09:07 from Düsseldorf Hbf (platform 14, S1) → Essen-Steele Ost (arr. 10:01, platform 4)
* Bus: 10:20 Essen-Steele Ost → 10:30 Bochum-Dahlhausen (hike start)
* Return: We’ll be back in Düsseldorf Hbf around 17:30 (with some flexibility).📝 Registration

* On the spot: Spontaneous registration is also possible in front of the Railway Museum (starting point).✅ Registration gives you a Hiking Day wristband, fold-out map, and stamp pass.
