What we’re about
Humanism is a non-theistic world view. Humanists are interested in human rights, the separation of church and state, and making the world a better place for everyone. We look to science, reason, and empathy to guide us in looking for solutions to problems in our lives and in the world.
Some of the goals of our group:
- to create a supportive community for humanists in CNY
- to put our values into action by helping the local community through volunteering and community service
- to educate people about humanism and other non-theistic worldviews

See all- Take Action June 14th: Join Us at No Kings!Solar St. Lot at Destiny, Syracuse, NY
This Saturday, June 14th, is the "No Kings" National Day of Action, an opportunity to stand up for democratic principles.
As humanists, we champion reason, secular governance, and active civic engagement. This No Kings initiative offers a way to express these values in partnership with tens of thousands of others across the country. While some may focus on spectacles, the real power on June 14th will be all of us on the streets in defiance of the cruelty and chaos being perpetuated by our own government.
Please come out and be heard! Bring signs, banners, flags, voices, and friends!
Visit the official site for more information on the event in Syracuse
From the organizers: A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
If you’d like to meet up, let’s plan to meet between 12:15 and 12:30 at the star above. If we don’t connect there, look for us in our CNY Humanists t-shirts!
