We host regular events that are relaxed, enjoyable, and full of opportunities to connect with others who share your enthusiasm for life.

Auschwitz. Not Long Ago. Not Far Away.
Cincinnati History Museum, 1301 Western Avenue, Cincinnati, OH, USAn exhibition the world needs you to see. Be a witness.
Through this daunting selection of more than 500 original artifacts from the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum in Poland, as well as more than 20 institutions and museums all over the world, Auschwitz. Not long ago. Not far away. portrays the complex reality of the notorious camp while sharing firsthand stories from those who survived, and those who perished.
You can choose either a timed ticket, or if they run out, you can purchase a flex ticket for five dollars more (either way purchase them sooner rather than later to make sure you get a spot). It’ll take around 2 hours to get through the exhibit. I’ve set up lunch afterwards at German restaurant Kantine Biergarten as a separate event. If you would like to go there afterwards, please be sure and RSVP to that event!

February Fundraising

A few of you have recently asked how you can support the group so we are putting this information out now to help answer questions. In short, donations are welcome anytime; we will host a formal campaign in February to fundraise for the group! Details below:
As part of our February fundraiser, we’re reaching out to ask for your support to help cover the costs of our meetups. Organizing 55+_ Fun & Friends events comes with expenses like organizer fees, venue/room rentals, occasional supplies, food/desserts - your donations make all the difference in keeping things running smoothly!
You can contribute in a few ways:
- Cash at any of our events
- Venmo, please list 55+ Fun & Friends donation in transaction (this will go to Kristy C, owner of the group)
- Online through our Meetup page, just look for the Fundraising section on the 55+ homepage.
- Donate your time and plan/host an event
