505 Steampunk: Society of Brass and Steam

Steam locomotive SF2926 will be fully steamed up! Climb aboard into the steam locomotive cab, blow the steam whistle, hear the locomotive bell, watch the crew tend to the fire in the boiler, ride historic track motorcars, see vintage railcars, get photos with the steam locomotive, peruse local vendors, live music, & food trucks at New Mexico Heritage Railroad Days Celebration at the South Rail Yards, south of the Wheels Museum, 1300 south 2nd St SW in Albuquerque. on September 27, 10 am to 6 pm & Sunday, September 28, 10 am to 2 pm. (On Sunday, you can stroll on the wide sidewalk of the Albuquerque Rail Trail from the Wheels Museum to the ABQ Railyards Market to visit the blacksmiths shop & other buildings where vendors tempt you with their wares such as fresh baked goods, etc.) Event is free. Free parking.

Join us for a one-of-a-kind Steampunk Jack-o'-Lantern Making Workshop!
Unleash your creativity and give your pumpkin some Victorian flair with gears, goggles, and a touch of steam-powered magic.
Sunday October 11th from 3:00PM to 5:00 PM at Quelab.

Reminder: Please bring your own foam pumpkin and any steampunk-inspired supplies you'd like to use (think: gears, cogs, brass pieces, LEDs, etc.). We’ll provide some basic tools and a few extras to share

505 Steampunk is hosting a bi-monthly book club and social.
This month we will be reading "Leviathan" by Scott Westerfeld.
Please join us even if you have not read the book. Lively discussion is always at the table.
Costumes not required but encouraged. we will provide tea and cookies. Bring your favorite teacup and if you wish, a snack to share.

Event will be held at Quelab at 1511 Central near the intersection of University and Central.
